About Safari Reservations
Safari Reservations is a Tanzania safari planning blog. We publish detailed itineraries, park guides, lodge notes, and the kind of planning advice we wished existed when we started planning our own trips.
What we cover
Tanzania's Northern Circuit — Serengeti, Ngorongoro Crater, Tarangire, Lake Manyara — plus the Southern Circuit (Ruaha, Nyerere) and the Zanzibar archipelago. Our focus is on trips of 7 to 14 days that combine wildlife viewing with cultural experiences and beach time on the coast.
Who this is for
US travelers booking their first safari, typically couples, honeymooners, and small family groups with a trip budget between $4,500 and $12,000 per person. If you've never been to East Africa, our articles are written to answer the questions you don't yet know to ask.
Why we exist
Most safari content online falls into two buckets: thin SEO listicles that recycle the same five facts, or operator brochures dressed as advice. Safari Reservations is meant to be the version of safari planning we wished existed when we started: specific, current, grounded in time spent on the ground in Tanzania.
